Honouring Our Canadian Armed Forces
November 10, 2009
Tomorrow, in ceremonies across the country, Canadians will wear poppies and lay wreaths in honour of those Canadians who have sacrificed for our freedom.

As communities prepare for Remembrance Day, Prime Minister Stephen Harper will tonight be honouring our brave men and women in uniform at the True Patriot Love Tribute dinner.

The event is another opportunity for Canadians and our Government to say thank you for the hard work and dedication of our brave men and women in uniform, and to support the well-being and moral of Canadian Forces members and their families.

Proceeds from the dinner will go to the Canadian Military Families Fund, which helps families who are faced with unforeseen and often immediate needs that arise due to conditions of service.

Our Government is proud of our Canadian Forces members and will always strive to help meet their needs while they serve at home and abroad, as well as the needs of the families who support them.
